Marie Thérèse Sophie Richard de Ruffey, marquise de Monnier (9 janvier 1754 – 8 septembre 1789), dite Sophie de Monnier, fut la maîtresse de Mirabeau avec qui elle échangea une importante correspondance.
Marie-Thérèse-Richard de Ruffey, Marquise de Monnier (January 9, 1754 - September 8, 1789), usually called Sophie, was the mistress of Honoré Gabriel Riqueti, comte de Mirabeau. She was famously involved in a scandal during which she ran away with Mirabeau to Switzerland.
In Honoré-Gabriel Riqueti, comte de Mirabeau: Troubled youth …was the marquise de Monnier, Marie-Thérèse-Richard de Ruffey, the young wife of a very old man. He eventually escaped to Switzerland, where Sophie joined him; the couple then made their way to Holland, where Mirabeau was arrested in 1777.

Marie Thérèse Sophie Richard de Ruffey (9 January 1754 - 8 September 1789), was during a long time the mistress of Mirabeau. She was the daughter of Anne Claude de La Forest and Gilles Germain Richard de Ruffey.
