Alice Ottley (23 March 1840 – 18 September 1912) was an English educator and the first head of what came to be called The Alice Ottley School in Worcester. Life. Ottley was born in 1840 at Acton, Suffolk, where her father was the vicar. Her parents were Rev. Lawrence Ottley and Elizabeth Bickersteth Ottley.
In September 2007, the school merged with the neighbouring Alice Ottley School and was briefly known as RGS Worcester and the Alice Ottley School (RGSAO) before reverting to their original name. The school began accepting girls in 2003, prior to the merger.
The Alice Ottleians and Old Elizabethans’ Association was the organisation for former pupils (alumni) and ex-staff of the Alice Ottley School and The RGS Worcester family of Schools.
