Grand Funk Railroad (often shortened to Grand Funk) is an American rock band formed in Flint, Michigan, in 1969 by Mark Farner (vocals, guitar, keyboards, harmonica), Don Brewer (drums, vocals), and Mel Schacher (bass).
On September 3rd Clara Eileen and Donald A. Brewer of Swartz Creek, Michigan give birth to one of the most celebrated drummers in classic rock history, Don Brewer. It runs through his blood because by the age of 12, Don starts his very first band. They call themselves The Red Devils.
