Three years later, Wooley was in Nashville to record an album to complement the MGM blockbuster, 'How The West Was Won'. A conscious 'theme' album, it traced the Westward migration in songs, nine of which Wooley wrote. This 24-track collection presents the entirety of Wooley's two 'Pete Nolan' era Western albums.

Sheb Wooley's brand of country music is the old fashioned one, bringing western themes into country music, and therefore not ideal for dancing to.
