Sidonie of Saxony (also: Sidonia; 8 March 1518, Meissen – 4 January 1575, Weißenfels) was a princess of the House of Wettin and by marriage Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Princess of Calenberg-Göttingen.

Sidonie war die dritte von sechs Töchtern von Johann von Sachsen und Amalie Auguste von Bayern. Sie hatte zudem drei ältere Brüder, die späteren Könige Albert und Georg sowie den mit 16 Jahren verstorbenen Prinz Ernst. Bei ihrer Geburt war noch nicht absehbar, dass ihr Vater selbst einmal König werden würde.

The Order of Sidonia was the German Kingdom of Saxony’s chivalric order for women. Created 14 March 1871 by King John, the order was granted to female members of the Saxon nobility until the fall of the monarchy in 1918.
