Prince Eduard of Saxe-Altenburg (Hildburghausen, 3 July 1804 – Munich, 16 May 1852), was a German prince of the ducal house of Saxe-Hildburghausen (of Saxe-Altenburg from 1826).
Prince Albert of Saxe-Altenburg (Albert Heinrich Joseph Carl Viktor Georg Friedrich; Munich, 14 April 1843 – Serrahn, 22 May 1902) was a German prince of the ducal house of Saxe-Altenburg.
Amalie married Prince Eduard of Saxe-Altenburg, seventh but fourth surviving son of Frederick, Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen (of Saxe-Altenburg from 1826) and Duchess Charlotte Georgine of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, on 25 July 1835 in Sigmaringen.

Married: September 3, 1785 to Duchess Charlotte Georgine of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Children: – Prince Joseph (1786) – Princess Charlotte (1787) – Princess Caroline (1788)
7 de feb. de 2018 · Prince Eduard married Princess Amalie of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen in 1835 and had four children. Following her death, he married Princess Luise Caroline Reuss of Greiz and had two more children. Eduard died in Munich and was buried in the Ducal Mausoleum in the Altenburg Cemetery.
She was the daughter of Prince Eduard of Saxe-Altenburg and Amalia of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. The Princess was deemed to be almost beyond marrying age when, at the age of 28, she married Prince August in Altenburg in 1864.
