Don E. Saliers (born 1937) is an American theologian specializing in homiletics and liturgics. He was the William R. Cannon Distinguished Professor of Theology and Worship at the Candler School of Theology of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
6 de abr. de 2023 · An accomplished musician, theologian and scholar of liturgics, Saliers is the author of 15 books on the relationship between theology and worship practices, as well as more than 150 articles, essays, chapters in books and book reviews.
Professor Saliers retired in 2007. He was inducted into the Emeritus College of Emory University in 2010 and honored as one of the year’s Distinguished Emeriti of Emory University. In 2011, he won Emory University’s Heilbrun Award.

Dr. Don Saliers is one of the nation’s foremost writers on hymnody and music in the liturgy. He served as general editor of Sounding Glory: Hymns for the Church Year and is a regular contributor to Today’s Liturgy.
