Theodore von Eltz stars as Marine lieutenant Donald Macready, assigned by his commanding officer to squelch a train-robbery gang. Going undercover, Macready infiltrates the gang and monitors their every move.
Phil Howard, who is actually an undercover agent for the Marines, is accused of stealing bonds and takes refuge with the Davises; Davis, a former sea captain, fully convinced that Howard is a fugitive from justice, reveals himself to be the leader of the mail bandits, whom Howard joins.
