Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Baronet (1721 – 27 February 1799) was an Irish politician and baronet. He was the eldest son of Sir Robert Blackwood, 1st Baronet of Ballyleidy [1] Blackwood entered the Irish House of Commons for Killyleagh in 1761 and sat for it until 1768.

Blackwood, Sir John. Blackwood, Sir John (1722–99), 2nd baronet and MP, was eldest son among three children of Sir Robert Blackwood (1694–1774), landowner and 1st baronet, of Ballyleidy, Upper Clandeboye, Co. Down, and his first wife Joyce, sister of Joseph Leeson (qv), 1st earl of Milltown.
Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Baronet of Ballyleidy, represented constituencies (Bangor and Killyleagh) in County Down, Ulster, in the Irish House of Commons from 1761 until his death at the age of 78 in 1799.

The Blackwood baronetcy, of the Navy, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 1 September 1814 for the Honourable Henry Blackwood, seventh son of Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Baronet and of Dorcas Blackwood, 1st Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye.
