Duke Paul Frederick of Mecklenburg (German: Herzog Paul Friedrich zu Mecklenburg; 19 September 1852 – 17 May 1923) was a member of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and general of the Mecklenburg cavalry.
Duke Paul Frederick of Mecklenburg (German: Herzog Paul Friedrich zu Mecklenburg; given names: Paul Frederick Charles Alexander Michael Hugh; 12 May 1882 – 21 May 1904) was a member of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and a German soldier and sailor.
He was born in Ludwigslust the son of Friedrich Ludwig, Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Grand Duchess Elena Pavlovna of Russia, and was the only surviving grandchild of Paul I of Russia who was born during the Tsar's lifetime.
17 de abr. de 2020 · Grand Duke Paul (named for his grandfather, the Tsar Paul) moved the capital back to Schwerin, where he built a new official residence (now the State Museum), and modernised the legal system and the military.

Paul Friedrich became heir-apparent to the throne of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1819, upon the death of his father, the Hereditary Grand Duke. On 1 February 1837 he succeeded his grandfather, Friedrich Franz I.
