Henry was heavily represented on Corritore’s well-received High Tone anthology ALL-STAR BLUES SESSIONS (HMG 1009). That compilation showcased a commendable diversity of styles and artists. This new Henry Gray CD is exhilarating testimony that there was a lot more of note from those sessions.

17 de feb. de 2020 · Surrounded by a competent group (Bob Corritore, Bob Margolin, Kid Ramos, Chico Chism), Henry offers a well done cocktail of blues standards and original compositions despite a somewhat limited voice sometimes.
17 de may. de 2021 · The “kid with the guitar,” as a teenager Ramos jumped with both feet into a creative artistic life that for his 62 years on the planet has led him with grit and determination to express his inner self through the beautiful ritual that is Blues music.
Gray, together with former Wolf alumnus Chico Chism on drums, Bob Margolin or Kid Ramos on guitar and Bob Corritore (who also produced this album) on harmonica, has produced a record that is a prime example of what electric Chicago blues is all about.
14 de dic. de 2020 · Kid Ramos' stunning Muddy Waters styled slide guitar is present on Pearson's reworking of Little Milton's recording "Possum in My Tree." Pearson takes this strong soul-blues and makes it an intense Chicago blues for one of this album's highlights.
