Auf einem Bahnsteig in München steht Lene. Sie muss sich entscheiden: zurück nach Berlin, wo sie lebt, oder in Richtung Süden. Dort, am Rande der Alpen, wohnt Lenes Familie auf dem einsamen Gehöft Hierankl. Seit Jahren hat Lene ihre Familie nicht mehr gesehen.
