  1. Edgar Sydenstricker (15 July 1881 – 19 March 1936) was an American economist and statistician. Sydenstricker was born on 15 July 1881 in Shanghai to missionaries Caroline Maude (Stulting) (1857–1921) and Absalom Sydenstricker.
