The Drums is an American indie pop band from New York City. The band was initially formed by Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham as Goat Explosion, and later added Adam Kessler and Connor Hanwick. Graham exited the band in 2016. Since then, the band has operated as a solo project of sole remaining member Jonathan Pierce.

Luego de la partida de los integrantes Adam Kessler, Connor Hanwick y Jacob Graham, Jonny Pierce le imprimió una nueva fuerza a The Drums, una sensibilidad cada vez mayor a sus discos casi solistas.
Two years later, Hanwick returns with After Ur, his second solo record released on Green House, and first under his own name. After Ur positions Hanwick fully entering a new phase of his musical career. The record is entirely ambient, and is largely inspired by improvised music.
