Adolf of Egmond ( Grave, February 12, 1438 – Tournai, June 27, 1477) was a Duke of Guelders, Count of Zutphen from 1465 to 1471 and in 1477.
1423–1465: Arnold, son of John II. 1465–1471: Adolf, son of Arnold. 1471–1473: Arnold, second time. Arnold sold the Duchy of Guelders to Charles I, Duke of Burgundy, who was recognized by the Holy Roman Emperor as Duke of Guelders.
Four parts of the duchy had their own centres, as they were separated by rivers: the quarter of Roermond, also called Upper Quarter or Upper Guelders – upstream on both sides of the Maas, comprising the town of Geldern as well as Erkelenz, Goch, Nieuwstadt, Venlo and Straelen;

Adolf van Egmont, Hertog van Gelre, graaf van Zutphen, ook bekend als Adolf van Gelre, zoon van Arnold Egmont, hertog van Gelre, en Katharina van Kleef. Hij is geboren op 12 februari 1438 in Arnhem en is gedoopt op 15 maart 1438 in Arnhem . Ridder orde gulden vlies 1461.

In 1423 Guelders passed to the House of Egmond. Duke Adolf was fighting with his father Arnold about the inheritance of the land. Arnold came under pressure from the Burgundian duke Charles the Bold, who put him in prison in 1471. When Arnold died in 1473, Duke Charles added Guelders to his Burgundian Netherlands .
