Donatus, Prince and Landgrave of Hesse (legally Heinrich Donatus Philipp Umberto Prinz und Landgraf von Hessen; born 17 October 1966) is a German businessman and the head of the House of Brabant and the House of Hesse.

Donatus, Príncipe Heredero de Hesse, nació el 17 de octubre de 1966 en La Haya, Países Bajos. Es el tercer hijo del Príncipe Mauricio de Hesse y la Princesa Catalina de Solms-Hohensolms-Lich. Después de su educación primaria en Alemania, Donatus estudió economía y derecho empresarial en Marburgo, Alemania, y en Boston, Estados Unidos.
Ernest Louis was the elder son of Louis IV, Grand Duke of Hesse and by Rhine and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom, daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was named Louis after his father. His nickname was "Ernie".

A great-grandson of Victor Emmanuel III of Italy, he is named in part after Georg Donatus, Hereditary Grand Duke of Hesse. He is also a descendant of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, and of Frederick III, German Emperor.
