Henry Somerset, 2nd Earl of Worcester ( c. 1496 – 26 November 1549) was an English nobleman. He was the son of Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester and Elizabeth Herbert, 3rd Baroness Herbert. On his father's death on 15 April 1526, he succeeded as the second Earl of Worcester.

Henry Somerset, 2nd Earl of Worcester (c.1496-26 Nov 1549) was the son of Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester and Elizabeth Herbert, Baroness Herbert. He married twice: 1. Margaret Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 1st Earl of Devon and Catherine Plantagenet, by papal dispensation issued 15 June 1514. Margaret died before 15 April 1526....
When he was born the Welsh counties had not been dictated by the English, so he was born in an area controlled by one of the Marcher Lordships, the ancient Kingdom of Gwent, in the cantref of Is Coed. When he died this same area was in the new county of Monmouthshire.

She was the second wife of Henry Somerset, 2nd earl of Worcester, the son of Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester, and Elizabeth Somerset, Baroness Herbert. Henry's first wife, Lady Margaret, had died without issue. Elizabeth married Henry before 1527 and was officially deemed the Countess of Worcester on 15 April 1526.

Five creations. The first creation came in 1138 in favour of the Norman noble Waleran de Beaumont. He was the son of Robert de Beaumont, 1st Earl of Leicester, by Elizabeth of Vermandois, and the twin brother of Robert de Beaumont, 2nd Earl of Leicester. Like his father and brother he also held the title Count of Meulan in the French nobility.
Around 1496 Henry Somerset 2nd Earl of Worcester was born to Charles Somerset 1st Earl of Worcester (age 36) and Elizabeth Herbert 3rd Baroness Herbert Raglan (age 20). In Aug 1507 [his mother] Elizabeth Herbert 3rd Baroness Herbert Raglan (age 31) died. She was buried at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle [Map].
