  2. George Hay, 16th Earl of Erroll was born on 13 May 1767. He was the son of James Boyd and Isabella Carr. He married Elizabeth Jemima Blake, daughter of Joseph Blake and Honoria Daly, on 25 January 1790 in a childless marriage. He succeeded to the title of 16th Lord Hay and to the title of 16th Earl of Erroll on 3 July 1778.
