Dorothy Tennant, Lady Stanley (22 March 1855 – 5 October 1926) was an English painter of the Victorian era neoclassicism. She was married to explorer Sir Henry Morton Stanley.

Dorothy Tennant est née à Londres le 22 mars 1855, comme deuxième fille de Charles Tennant et Gertrude Barbara Rich Collier. Elle fait ses études en peinture sous la direction d'Edward Poynter de la Slade School of Fine Arts (Londres). Elle part aussi à Paris pour étudier avec le peintre Jean-Jacques Henner.
