On January 5, 2017 Big Wreck announced on Facebook that guitarist Paulo Neta has departed the band. This precedes the band’s cross-Canada tour which begins January 27 in Vancouver, BC and a new album release, Grace Street, on February 3. On January 5, 2017, after the recording of Grace Street, but prior to its release, guitarist Paulo Neta departed from Big Wreck. Ian Thornley wrote the following on Big Wreck's Facebook page: Beloved Big Wreck fans, it’s with a heavy heart that we announce Paulo’s departure from the band.
Chris McMillan left the band and became an electrician being replaced by Paulo Neta. In 2009, a friend introduced Walst to Toronto -based singer/guitarist Sal Costa, who later became the band's guitarist, replacing Paulo Neta, who became the guitarist for Thornley and eventually Big Wreck.
The last line-up of the band as Thornley had Paulo Neta (guitar), Dave McMillan (bass guitar), Christopher Henry (drums) and the former member of Big Wreck Brian Doherty (guitar). As of 2010, this line-up plays under the name Big Wreck . History.
