Neal Matthews, Hoyt Hawkins, Ray Walker, Gordon Stoker. Hoyt Hawkins: born March 31, 1927. Passed away 1982 at the age of 55. Hoyt began singing 2nd Tenor, April 1952 when Bob Hubbard was drafted and switched over to Baritone with the departure of Monty Matthews in October 1952.

4 de feb. de 2021 · This lineup, consisting of Gordon Stoker, first tenor and manager, Neal Matthews, Jr., second tenor and lead, Hoyt Hawkins, baritone, and Ray Walker, bass, would be the group's most stable lineup, lasting throughout the 1960s and 70s.
Hawkins, Hoyt (31 March 1927-23 October 1982) Keyboardist, percussionist and vocalist from Paducah, Kentucky, who was a member of John Daniel’s quartet and attended Peabody College, where he met his future wife, Dorothy. In April 1952, Hoyt joined The Jordanaires, supplanting lead singer and second tenor, Bob Hubbard.
Hoyt Hawkins died in 1982, and was replaced by Duane West, who had filled the baritone part, intermittently, since Hoyt had first fallen ill in the '70s. Duane became ill in 1999 and Louis Nunley stepped in. Neal passed away in April of 2000, and, Curtis Young has stepped in.
