Adelheid of Meissen. Dagmar of Bohemia (also known as Margaret, Czech: Markéta; c. 1186 – 24 May 1212 in Ribe) was Queen of Denmark as the first spouse of King Valdemar II. She was the daughter of King Ottokar I of Bohemia and his first wife, Adelaide of Meissen. [1]

Dagmar. Empress of Russia from 1881. Daughter of Christian IX and Louise of Hesse-Kassel. Married in 1866 to the Russian Grand Duke and heir to the throne, Alexander III. They had six children, of whom the second-eldest child died shortly after birth.
The beloved Queen Dagmar (softly pronounced as Dow-mer with the accent on the first syllable) was born a princess in Bohemia and became the wife of thirteenth-century ruler King Valdemar the Victorious. In 1205, Dagmar sailed to Ribe from Meissen to marry the Danish King.
