Carlos XVI Gustavo de Suecia (nacido Carl Gustaf Folke Hubertus Bernadotte; Solna, provincia de Estocolmo; 30 de abril de 1946) es el rey de Suecia desde su ascenso al trono tras la muerte de su abuelo paterno, el rey Gustavo VI Adolfo, el 15 de septiembre de 1973.

The new instrument explicitly limited the king to ceremonial functions and, among other things, to be regularly informed of affairs of state. As head of the House of Bernadotte, Carl Gustaf has also been able to make a number of decisions about the titles and positions of its members. In June 1976, Carl Gustaf married Silvia Sommerlath.
Gustaf V was the last monarch to exercise any political influence. His personal interests included music, art and sports, and he was a noted tennis player under the pseudonym Mr. G. His health deteriorated after his 90th birthday, and he died in October 1950 at Drottningholm Palace.

Es príncipe de Suecia y duque de Ångermanland.
The House of Bernadotte is the royal family of Sweden, founded there in 1818 by King Charles XIV John of Sweden. It was also the royal family of Norway between 1818 and 1905. Its founder was born in Pau in southern France as Jean Bernadotte.
