V's immediate superior is Arthur Jenkins, who resents Director of Special Operations Susan Abernathy, for stealing his promotion and orders V to contract a team to assassinate her. During this process, V is confronted by Abernathy's security contractors, leading to their career demise, but beginning the game proper as a Solo.
