Biographie. Mumtaz Mahal era una princesa de la nobleza persa. Ella era la hija de Abdul Hasan Asaf Khan. Nació en Agra en 1593 y conoció al futuro joven emperador mogol cuando aún era el príncipe Khurram. Este último, cayendo bajo el hechizo de su belleza, se comprometió rápidamente en 1607.
