5 de jul. de 2019 · Alex Bines was Borne 23July 1955, Alex had his first kit at the age of 14. Self taught, at 16 he played his first live gig. He enjoyed local success with ‘The Diamond Jack Band’ between 1973 and 1978. In January 1979 he joined the club band ‘Whisky Mac’ playing in Scandinavia for 6 months.

Wear It's 'At is the debut album by English pop band The Rubettes assembled in 1973 by the songwriting team of Wayne Bickerton, then the head of A&R at Polydor Records, and his co-songwriter, Tony Waddington, after their doo-wop and 1950s American pop-influenced songs had been rejected by a number of existing acts.
Mick Clarke was replaced by Steve Kinch 1987-1991 and Trevor Holliday 1991-1993. c.1992: the line up was Alex Bines, Alan Williams, Trevor Holliday and Bill Hurd. In 1999, the re-formed line up split again, forming two "competing" Rubettes groups, one lead by Bill Hurd and the other by Alan Williams.
