Devil in the Flesh is an Australian film adapted from the French novel Le Diable au corps. It is directed by Scott Murray, who is best known for being the editor of Cinema Papers . Murray adapted the film to be set in rural Victoria during World War II .

Devil in the Flesh (original title: Il diavolo in corpo) is an Italian film released in 1986 and directed by Marco Bellocchio. An adaptation of Raymond Radiguet’s novel Le Diable au corps, the film stars Federico Pitzalis as a high school student who falls in love with an older woman (played by Maruschka Detmers).
When her mother is killed in a mysterious house fire, rebellious teen Debbie Strand (Rose McGowan) is sent to live with her grandmother (Peg Shirley), where she becomes even more unhinged.
