Henry Percy, 3rd Baron Percy of Alnwick (c. 1321–1368), was the eldest son of Henry de Percy, 2nd Baron Percy (1301–1352), and his wife, Idoine de Clifford (Idonea in Latin and also in English), daughter of Robert de Clifford, 1st Baron de Clifford.

28 de mar. de 2023 · HENRY PERCY, 3RD BARON PERCY OF ALNWICK (1322-1368), son of Henry Percy, 2nd Baron Percy of Alnwick, and Idonea (or Idoine) de Clifford, daughter of Robert, Lord Clifford, (d. 1314), was born in 1322. In 1334, he was contracted to marry Mary Plantagenet, daughter of Henry, Earl of Lancaster.
Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland, 4th Baron Percy KG (1341–1408) (forfeit 1405) married, secondly, (d.1389), daughter of Thomas de Lucy, 2nd Lord Lucy and settled her large inheritance upon her second husband Hugh Percy, and his heirs male, on condition that they should always bear the arms of Lucy quartered with those of Percy.
Henry Percy, 1st Baron Percy, took possession of Alnwick Castle in 1309 and quickly set about a major renovation. He transformed its military defences, creating a formidable fortress. He also added private rooms and lodgings, which are still in use today. The Percy family has an astonishing history, filled with rebellion, romance and intrigue.
