Edwin Jobson nació en 1.955 en la localidad inglesa de Billinghan, a los siete años comenzó a tocar el piano y el violín. Con tan solo dieciséis años pretendía entrar en la Royal Academic of Music pero la edad mínima para su admisión era de diecisiete años.
