Gerard Malanga, poet, photographer and filmmaker, worked closely with Andy Warhol during the artist's most creative period in the mid-Sixties. His several books of poetry, ranging from chic death (1971) to Mythologies of the Heart (1996), have earned him worldwide recognition.
Gerard is the author of over a dozen books of poetry spanning a 50-year period, including 2019’s “Cool and other things" (Bottle of Smoke Press). He was already a published poet before he went to work for Andy Warhol in 1963. His work has appeared in Poetry, Yale Review, Harvard Review, Paris Review, Raritan, Partisan Review and The New Yorker.
