James Oyebola (10 June 1961 – 27 July 2007) was a Nigerian and British heavyweight boxer who won a bronze medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in the super heavyweight division. Oyebola was the British heavyweight champion from 1994 to 1996.
A man has been found guilty of murdering former Queen's Park boxing champion James Oyebola. Kanyanta Mulenga was convicted at the Old Bailey on Wednesday for shooting Mr Oyebola in the back of the head at Chateau 6 nightclub, in Fulham Road, Fulham, in July last year.
Kanyanta Mulenga, 23, was found guilty of shooting James Oyebola through the back of the neck three weeks after the ban on smoking in enclosed public places came into force in July 2007.
