Robert Vance Isaac (August 1, 1932 – August 14, 1977) was an American stock car racing driver. Isaac made his first NASCAR appearance in 1961, and quickly forged a reputation of one of the toughest competitors of the 1960s and 1970s.
En 1998 fue reconocido como uno de los 50 mejores pilotos NASCAR de todos los tiempos, y desde 2016 pertenece al NASCAR Hall of Fame. Sobre el Hickory Motor Speedway se han disputado diversos Bobby Isaac Memorials, a 150, 200 y 300 vueltas.

Bobby Isaac knew one speed: Fast. His uncanny skill at qualifying a race car proves that. His 49 career poles ranks tied for ninth all-time. Maybe more impressive: Isaac captured 19 poles in 1969, which still stands as the record for poles in a single season.
Bobby Isaac, a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2016, was born into adversity in Catawba, North Carolina, and died way too young. But for a brief moment, his star shone brightly as he dominated NASCAR in 1969-70, winning 28 races and earning 61 top-five finishes and 32 poles in just two seasons.
