After graduating from Syracuse in 1901, Prinstein joined the Irish-American AC and at the 1904 Olympics became the only man to ever win the long jump and triple jump at the same Olympics. Besides his Olympic successes, Prinstein won the AAU long jump title four times between 1898 and 1906.

22 de jul. de 2023 · A member of the 1900, 1904 and 1906 Olympic teams, Meyer Prinstein was the world's greatest horizontal jumper at the turn of the 20th century. A graduate of Syracuse University, Prinstein first came to national prominence when he set an American long jump record of 23' 7 1/4" in 1898.

A five-time Olympic track and field medalist (four golds), Myer Prinstein won his first gold medal in the 1900 Paris Olympics Triple Jump with a leap of 47'53/4" (14.47 meters). That year, he also took a silver medal in the Long Jump event with a mark of 23'61/2".
