  1. Thomas Cubitt (25 February 1788 – 20 December 1855) was a British master builder, notable for his employment in developing many of the historic streets and squares of London, especially in Belgravia, Pimlico and Bloomsbury.

  6. 2 de jun. de 2024 · Thomas Cubitt was one of the earliest, and the most important, of the speculative builders who built up large areas of London from the early nineteenth century. The son of a farmer, he began working as a ship's carpenter.

  7. English master-carpenter. He entered into partnership with his brother William (1791–1863) in c. 1814, and in 1815 set up a building establishment that would encompass all the trades. He engaged in speculative developments on a huge scale in London.
