The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder is a 1974 film from Playboy Enterprises directed by Arthur Hiller and produced by Hugh Hefner. This was the final feature film role for actor George Marshall, who is mostly known as a director ( Destry Rides Again, Boy, Did I Get A Wrong Number!, You Can't Cheat an Honest Man ). [2] Plot.

There was much disagreement about the film's original title: Vrooder's Hooch. Studio executives felt that audiences would confuse the term hooch with alcohol. According to Henry, a survey was conducted and the target audience of 18 to 24 year olds mostly agreed that hooch was slang for hut.
