Irving Milfred Mole (March 11, 1898 – April 29, 1961) [1] known professionally as Miff Mole, was an American jazz trombonist and band leader. He is generally considered one of the greatest jazz trombonists [2] and credited with creating "the first distinctive and influential solo jazz trombone style." [3]
Miff Mole bio. Irving Milfred Mole was better known as Miff Mole (11/03/1898 – 29/04/611) and was a jazz trombonist. He is widely considered to be one of the most influential jazz trombonists. Miff Mole was a Roosevelt, New York native. He was a child who studied piano and violin, and then switched to trombone at age 15.
