Toshiko Akiyoshi (Dairen, Liaoning, China, 12 de diciembre de 1929) es una pianista, compositora y arreglista de jazz que recibió catorce nominaciones a los premios Grammy y fue la primera mujer en ganar los premios a la mejor arreglista y compositora en la encuesta anual de los lectores de la revista de jazz Down Beat.
Toshiko Akiyoshi (秋吉敏子 or 穐吉敏子, Akiyoshi Toshiko, born 12 December 1929) is an American jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. Akiyoshi received fourteen Grammy Award nominations and was the first woman to win Best Arranger and Composer awards in Down Beat magazine's annual Readers' Poll.
As one of few women and Asian musicians in the jazz world, Akiyoshi infused Japanese culture, sounds, and instruments into her music. As a pianist, bandleader, and composer-arranger, Akiyoshi cemented her place as one of the most important jazz musicians of the twentieth century.

During the latter half of her career, that band has been co-led by Lew Tabackin, whom she married in 1969. She also formed several bands with her previous husband—alto saxophonist Charlie Mariano, whom she married in 1959 and divorced in 1967.
