  3. Biography. Lord Vere Beauclerk entered the navy about 1713, 1 serving in the Mediterranean 1722-7, and again under Sir Charles Wager in 1731. Succeeding his brother, the 2nd Duke of St. Albans, at Windsor in 1726, he consistently voted with the Government.

  5. Biography. Lord Vere Beauclerk, was the third son of Charles Beauclerk, 1st Duke of St Albans, and his wife, Lady Diana de Vere and was born 14 July 1699. [1] He entered the Navy, about 1713 [2] and was promoted to the rank of Captain 30 May 1721 and appointed to the frigate Lyme and served in the Mediterranean 1722-27 under Sir Charles Wager.
