On 29 February 2016, President Borut Pahor of Slovenia awarded Dalia Grybauskaitė with the Order for Exceptional Merits in recognition of Lithuania’s special contribution to advancing Slovenian sovereignty. On 18 May 2016, she received the Order of the Star of Romania (Collar).
