  1. Alison Emily Thewliss (born 13 September 1982) is a Scottish National Party (SNP) politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow Central since the May 2015 general election. Before being elected to Westminster, Thewliss was a Glasgow City Councillor for the Calton ward, first elected in 2007.

  2. Alison Thewliss was elected to serve the people of Glasgow Central in May 2015. Since then, she served the constituency of Glasgow Central for 9 years, having been re-elected twice in 2017 and 2019. Prior to her election as an MP, she served as Glasgow Councillor for the Calton Ward in the East End.
