  4. Nicholas Vansittart, chancellor of the exchequer, was born on 29 April 1766 in Old Burlington Street, London. He was the fifth son of Henry Vansittart (1732-1770), governor of Bengal, by Emilia, daughter of Nicholas Morse, governor of Madras.
