William Hillier Onslow, 4th Earl of Onslow, GCMG, PC, DL (7 March 1853 – 23 October 1911), was a British Conservative politician. He held several governmental positions between 1880 and 1905 and was also Governor of New Zealand between 1889 and 1892.

He began immediately repairing and redecorating, selling land to pay for works on the house and estate. He also started buying back family heirlooms that had been sold at auction. Earl of Onslow, GCMG. Born in 1853, Sir William Hillier Onslow, Bt. 4th Earl, was educated at Eton and Oxford. He inherited his title in 1874. He was Lord-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria, Under-secretary of State for the Colonies, Vice-president of the Colonial Conference 1887 and Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade.
