Otto Viktor Karl Liman von Sanders (German: [ˈɔtoː ˈliːman fɔn ˈzandɐs]; 17 February 1855 – 22 August 1929) was an Imperial German Army general who served as a military adviser to the Ottoman Army during the First World War. In 1918 he commanded an Ottoman army during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign.

4 de jul. de 2017 · Liman von Sanders was the head of the German military mission in the Ottoman Empire from December 1913. As the commander of the 5<sup>th</sup> Army he was in charge of the defence of Gallipoli. In March 1918, he took over the command of the “''Heeresgruppe F''“ in Palestine.
