Heinrich XV, Prince Reuss of Greiz (22 February 1751 – 30 August 1825) was the fourth of six sons born into the reigning family of the Principality of Reuss. At the age of fifteen he joined the army of the Habsburg monarchy and later fought against Ottoman Turkey.
Moreover, the troops stationed in Upper Austria to defend against Bavaria—around 25,000 men under the command of the general Prince Heinrich XV of Reuss-Plauen—could now be redeployed to reinforce the Army of Inner Austria.

Heinrich XXIV, Prince Reuss of Greiz (1878–1927), was incapable of ruling and therefore the regency passed to the ruling prince of the younger line of Reuss.

Heinrich XV. wurde am 20. April 1814 erster Generalgouverneur von Venedig, nachdem dieses 1814 an Österreich gefallen war, und später Generalkommandeur in Galizien. Nachdem er sich 1824 in das Privatleben zurückgezogen hatte, wurde er von Kaiser Franz am 10. September 1824 noch zum Feldmarschall ernannt.
