General Charles Edward Saul Jennings (19 October 1751 – 11 December 1799), also referred to as Brave Kilmaine, was a renegade Irish soldier under French service and a revolutionary. He was a supporter of Irish independence and an active supporter of the French Revolution.
Kilmaine, Charles Edward Saul Jennings (1751–99), general in French service, was born 19 October 1751 in Dublin, second son of Theobald Jennings, physician, of Polaniran, Co. Galway, and Eleonore Jennings (née Saul).
