8 de sept. de 2020 · In his book The Alipore Bomb Case: A Historic Pre-Independence Trial (2008), Nurul Huda writes that the bomb worked beautifully, but Prafulla Chakraborty, who had hurled it, failed to take cover in time and was instantly killed by the blast, while Ullaskar Dutt was seriously injured.
Barindra Ghose chose eighteen-year-old Khudiram and nineteen-year-old Prafulla Chaki for the difficult mission. The two young revolutionaries set out with three revolvers and a bomb prepared by Ullaskar Dutt.
