Sir Thomas Bouch (/ ˈ b aʊ tʃ /; 25 February 1822 – 30 October 1880) was a British railway engineer. He was born in Thursby, near Carlisle, Cumberland, and lived in Edinburgh. As manager of the Edinburgh and Northern Railway he introduced the first roll-on/roll-off train ferry service in the world.

8 de abr. de 2009 · En 1869 el ingeniero inglés Thomas Bouch recibió el encargo de diseñar un puente sobre el estuario del río Tay que sería en su época el más largo del mundo con 3.323 metros. Iniciadas las obras en 1872 y terminadas en 1877, el puente se hundió, al paso de un tren, el domingo 28 de diciembre de 1879. (05/03/2007)
