Donald Cameron of Lochiel (c. 1695 – 26 October 1748), popularly known as the Gentle Lochiel, was a Scottish Jacobite, soldier and hereditary chief of Clan Cameron, traditionally loyal to the exiled House of Stuart. His support for Charles Edward Stuart proved pivotal in the early stages of the 1745 Rising.

In 1887 Donald was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Inverness-shire, a position he would hold until his death. Donald was also active in cultural circles. The Gaelic Society of Inverness elected him as their Chief in 1884. Due to his support of the concept, five years later, in 1889, the Clan Cameron Association was founded .
