Louis de Sancerre (1341 or 1342 – 6 February 1402; aged 60-61) was a Marshal of France and Constable of France during the Hundred Years' War . Early life. Sancerre was born as the second son of count Louis II de Sancerre and Béatrix de Roucy. His father was killed at the battle of Crécy in 1346.

Louis de Sancerre (1341 ou 1342 - 6 février 1402) est un chef militaire français durant la guerre de Cent Ans au service des rois Charles V et Charles VI, nommé Connétable de France, il est plus connu sous le nom de maréchal de Sancerre.
Louis was the son of Guillaume de Sancerre and Marie de Charenton. He was firstly married to Blanche de Courtenay (daughter of Robert de Courtenay and Constance) before 1220. He was secondly married to Isabelle de Mayenne (widow of Dreux de Mello, daughter of Juhel de Mayenne and Gervaise de Vitré) before 1251.

6 de feb. de 2021 · Louis de Sancerre. Louis was the second eldest son of the Count of Sancerre. His father fought and died in the Battle of Crecy. Following his fathers death Louis was educated alongside the children of the Duke of Normandy. His first military experience was at the Siege of Melun in 1359. Following this he began to rise in prominence.
