  3. He was the son of George Augustus Parker, Viscount Parker, eldest son of the sixth Earl. Lord Macclesfield was Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire from 1954 to 1963. As of 2010 the titles are held by his grandson, the ninth Earl, who succeeded his father in 1992.

    Thomas Augustus Wolstenholme Parker, 6th Earl of Macclesfield (17 March 1811-24 July 1896) was the son of Thomas Parker, 5th Earl of Macclesfield, and Eliza Wolstenholme.His was born 17 March 1811 and Christened on 16 April 1811

    He married (1ly) Henrietta Turnor, daughter of Edmond Turnor, on 11 July 1839. He married (2ly) Lady Mary Frances Grosvenor, daughter of Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster, and Lady Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower, on 25 August 1842.

    He died on 24 July 1896 at age 85. He was Member of Parliament (MP) (Conservative) for Oxfordshire between 1837 and 1841. He succeeded to the title of 6th Earl of Macclesfield [GB, 1721] on 31 March 1850.
